Event description

Baby kids born Sep 2024!

Join me as we shepherd miniature goats through the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland and create memories you'll never forget. Discover their unique personalities while connecting with the land and creating more environmental biodiversity for a sustainable future.

Goats love to explore and browse, so manually rotating them into different areas of the property is the ideal way to keep both the land and the goats healthy and happy. They are nature's quiet weed killer and on our farm we utilise them to spread native plants and help protect against bush fires, while giving them a more diverse life.

We'll meet our small herd of friendly mini goats in their paddock. They'll wait for us to open their gate, and then these loving animals will follow us at an easy pace along walking tracks, occasionally stopping to graze. We will walk to a hill top with views over Mt Eerwah and Eumundi Village and around a big grassy paddock to a spring fed dam. We will find beautiful spots to rest while the goats enjoy themselves along the way. We will then continue to the North Maroochy river through a thousand year old rainforest along the old Cairns/Brisbane railway line to an historic bridge and stone retaining walls built by Chinese workers 150 years ago.

We’ll return the goats to their goat shed on sunset after an hour and a half of easy hiking.
