Event description

Baby kids born Sep 2024!

Join me as we shepherd miniature goats through the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland and create memories you'll never forget. Discover their unique personalities while connecting with the land and creating more environmental biodiversity for a sustainable future.

Goats love to explore and browse, so manually rotating them into different areas of the property is the ideal way to keep both the land and the goats healthy and happy. They are nature's quiet weed killer and on our farm we utilise them to spread native plants and help protect against bush fires, while giving them a more diverse life.

Our goats love to follow us and we have trails designed to move them through different areas of the farm easily. When you arrive we will walk with the goats to a hill top with views over Mt Eerwah and Eumundi Village. From here the track will vary but we will slowly hike to the North Maroochy river through a thousand year old rainforest along the old Cairns/Brisbane railway line to a historic bridge and stone retaining walls built by Chinese workers 150 years ago. The goats will find places to stop and graze as we make our way to the river and we will be able to rest too while we enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

We’ll return the goats to their goat shed on sunset after an hour and a half of easy hiking.

Other things to note:

Children under 5 are free

Suitable shoes for walking are essential

Sun protection and hat

Plenty of water

Walk at your own risk

Weather dependent - goats don't like rain :)
