Dear Community Leaders

You are warmly invited to attend the upcoming Multicultural Community Consultation Forum, hosted by the Ministerial Advisory Council on Multiculturalism (MACM) in partnership with the ACT Minister for Multicultural Affairs. This important gathering will bring together a broad cross-section of Canberra’s multicultural communities and leaders for a day of meaningful discussion, collaboration, and strategic engagement.

As a respected voice in the community, your participation is essential. This Forum provides a space to share lived experiences and practical ideas, and to explore the challenges and opportunities facing culturally, linguistically, and spiritually diverse communities in the ACT.

Your leadership and insights will help shape more inclusive approaches to community wellbeing, belonging, and government support.

Arrival and registration will be available between 11am to 11:25 am with the official program commencing promptly from 11:30 am.

This Forum is part of MACM’s ongoing commitment to listening to, learning from, and working with Canberra’s richly diverse communities.

Insights gathered will directly inform MACM’s strategic advice to government under the ACT Multiculturalism Act 2023, ensuring that government policy and programs reflect the real needs, aspirations, and strengths of multicultural Canberrans.

Throughout the day, you’ll hear from fellow community leaders and members, MACM representatives, and the Minister for Multicultural Affairs. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in facilitated discussions and connect informally with peers over lunch and networking breaks.
