Event description

The free nature activities are endless at the Minlagawi Nature Festival!!

On offer is Nharangga face paint, Nharangga yarning and tools, Nharangga clay pots and games, rock art, cubby building, earth drums, nature art and craft, henna art hand tattoos, nature crowns, brilliant bugs and more! 

All ages catered for, from babies and toddlers to teens.

Feel free to explore and play in the reserve, or join in with hosted sessions for a variety of interests.

Pack your picnic basket, snacks and rug and enjoy morning tea or lunch in the sunshine. 

Enjoy the great outdoors during the Spring holidays!

Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Please also order a ticket for the adult(s) during registration.

What can I bring into the event?

Wear long pants and sturdy shoes.

Be Sun Smart.

Bring a water bottle and drink water.

Bring snacks if you'll need them, or your morning tea and/or lunch if you are planning a picnic.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Minlagawi Gum Flat is a great place to walk or cycle to! Enter the Reserve by walking or cycling the trail either along the Minlaton-Stansbury Road or Old Port Vincent Road.

Distance Post Office to Main Area via Old Port Vincent Road: 1.1 km

Distance Post Office to Main Area via Stansbury Road: 1.5 km

There is limited parking at the Main Area, corner of Old Port Vincent Road and Gum Flat Road, on the dirt roads at your own risk and as per road rules.

We encourage parking in the area surrounding the Minlaton Playground/Harry Butler Red Devil Memorial on North Terrace, Minlaton. It is then a short walk past the Bowling Club to connect to the scenic walking trail adjacent Old Port Vincent Road.
