Mission: Every person, Everywhere, Everyday – An online event exploring the movement of Mission Theology with Dr Stephen Bevans SVD
Event description
Many people have heard Dr Stephen Bevan’s bring to life images of God and teach about contemporary Mission in ways that fire up the heart and imagination. In August, when Dr Bevan’s visits Australia, he will present on how we are moving from Mission Ad Gentes to Mission Inter-Gentes.
He will share his teachings on a contemporary mission theology that articulates and responds to the reality that mission is no longer ‘over there’ or something that is ‘done’ to others, rather that mission is very much amongst us, lived each day by each person of faith, transforming, inspiring, challenging and forming ourselves and others in our lives. The challenge of human relationship inter-mingled with organisational purpose in diverse intercultural settings: As Christian people, we must reflect on how is God calling each person, every community to live? How is God alive amidst all people, in every place? This is today’s setting for Mission.
This is an important opportunity to consider your own workplace, organisation or community as your setting for Mission. The time will include presentations, interactive Q&A with Dr Bevans, and small group discussion.
Please invite your colleagues for afternoon tea and join us online for this unmissable formation event.
