Mixed Media Mementos - from your favourite photos

Mixed Media Mementos is a creative workshop using your favourite photos of people you love, or places you've been, or anything that means something to you.

In this workshop you will be guided, step by step, to create a mixed media piece, based on your photograph, combined with coloured ink and paper layering techniques to create a colourful unique original artwork ready to take home and hang on the wall.

• Enjoy meeting new people at the Eclectic Mix shop and cafe full of fascinating vintage and collectibles. 
• Coffee or tea plus cake is included. Gluten free available.
• We have two experienced creative tutors on hand to make sure your experience is fun, friendly, informative, and relaxed.
• Our class sizes are strictly limited to ensure everyone gets one on one attention during the workshop.
• BYO: You'll need to bring a black and white photocopy or home inkjet printer copy of your photograph. The size should be roughly the size of a postcard, 10cm by 15cm. It is ok if it is bigger but still needs to fit onto the A4 masterpiece you will make!

About the facilitators

Tamara Playne is a visual artist and teacher working with mixed media including paper, paint, inks, print, ceramics, lanterns, photography, video, and text. She has been running community workshops in all media for over 25 years. Her purpose is to encourage joy and connection for everyone.

Sharon Dunne is an eco-craftivist who uses various techniques including paper making, crochet, and jewellery making. Her business Loop N Stitch celebrates the hand-made and the beautiful, underpinned by her eco-friendly ethics.
