Mixing Colour... Matching Tone

There's a lot to think about in painting and one of the best ways to gain mastery is to focus on one skill and when you master that, choose another to focus on.

So that is what we'll do in this workshop... focus on one skill.  Well, actually it's two that are very closely interrelated!

1.  Identifying and painting tonal/value relationships - including identifying colour as a value, effective use of tonal relationships.

2.  Mixing colour to the correct hue, value and saturation - including how to mix a particular colour, making colourful greys, avoiding mud, when/where to use more saturated colour, laying out your palette, using a limited palette and more.
