Wiring Warming (Wirin - spirit, in Noongar language)
This workshop is for everyone, including performers, dancers, and movers of any kind. Led by MJ Anderson-Hyde, be present in the space and explore your own way of moving. Connecting body and spirit, softy. This workshop is a mix of discussion/yarning and guided movement. You are also welcome to observe if that is your preference. Bring some water, comfortable clothing and your beautiful wirin. Throw away expectation and make space for exploration in this warming environment.

MJ Anderson-Hyde
MJ is a performance based, multi-disciplinary artist, praciticing for 8+ years and based in Boorloo (Perth). MJ is proudly Aboriginal, Kiwi, Genderfluid and Nonbinary, Queer and Disabled. Their mob from these lands are Kabi-Kabi/Gureng Gureng and Menang Noongar. Their art is based on themes of lived experience, truth in storytelling, alternative art styles, culture, body politics and exploring identity. MJ specializes in theatrical dance, movement exploration, physical theatre and engaging these mediums with others, to create multi-faceted works. Their practice includes performance art, engaging in physical/movement storytelling, dance, theatre, drag and burlesque. They also work across various other roles in the arts, including dramaturg, devising, trauma-informed practice, producer, accessibility advisor, actor and more. In the community, they mentor and deliver workshops for artists, works in progress and marginalised members of community. MJ also creates visual art and writes poetry, finding enjoyment in combining these into their performance work.
