The spirit of satire takes centre stage in The Frogs — a bold and brilliant reimagining of Aristophanes’ classic comedy, brought to life by our talented Years 7-12 students. Bursting with wit, wild antics and a trip to the underworld you won’t forget, this is a theatrical adventure that dives deep into the chaos of art, politics and… amphibians!
In this modern twist on an ancient tale, the god Dionysus sets off on a laugh-out-loud quest to bring back the best playwright from the dead. Along the way, he meets eccentric characters, navigates outrageous trials and stumbles into a world where words, wit and creativity rule. It’s irreverent, it’s clever, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen on a school stage before.
Full of sharp dialogue, unexpected surprises and a healthy dose of mayhem, The Frogs proves that even 2,400 years later, comedy never goes out of style. Audiences of all ages will be jumping for joy at this daring and delightful production!
