“Did I sound stupid?” “Should I have sent that email?” “How do I look?” Why do we spend so much time feeling self-conscious and comparing ourselves to others? Why do we struggle to live up to inner ideals or outer standards, only to regularly feel not good enough or ashamed of our shortcomings?

The assumption that we can find lasting happiness by being more successful, attractive, intelligent, or morally above reproach is so woven into our biology and culture that few of us notice it’s not actually true.

Particularly in the age of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, we need a way to free ourselves from the pain and stress that arises from continuous self-evaluation and social comparison.

Rather than imagining that we can develop a single, stable, secure self, this webinar will explore how working with our ever-changing consciousness and opening to our interdependence can help us relate to all experiences—pleasant and unpleasant, every day and traumatic—as opportunities to awaken, connect, grow, and heal.

Join this session with Dr Siegel as he explores Transpersonal Awareness in Everyday Life.

    More about medicinal psychedelic treatments:

Psychedelic-assisted treatments offer enormous potential in providing a meaningful alternative to current treatments for mental illness. PTSD is a debilitating condition that affects tens of millions of people worldwide, with many more trauma victims diagnosed with comorbid conditions such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders. In recent clinical trials, MDMA has been shown to produce reliable clinical improvements, restoring patient safety and self-agency even for individuals who have suffered with PTSD for many years, and for whom many treatments have failed.

The wave of clinical psychedelic research and regulatory support is rapidly building, with experts forecasting the availability of psychedelic-assisted treatments in the US and EU within the next 2 to 5 years, subject to positive clinical outcomes in large trials that are currently underway.
