MMA Rifle Open Days 2026

Do you need to sight in a rifle, work on your technique, or develop some loads? Or has your club been shut down and you haven't been able to get all of your mandatory attendances in for the year? Then this day is for you!

Mundaring Marksmen Association is opening its doors for an afternoon! This afternoon is for rifles only, see our separate event listing for handgun open days.

Please read the following information:

• Each time slot is 1hour. During this time, you will be able to get ready, receive a safety briefing and range commands, shoot (for about 30 minutes) and record your results. 

• If you would like to use several rifles, you must register for the relevant number of consecutive time slots. Each time slot will only cover 1 rifle.

• SSAA Membership is mandatory to participate in this afternoon. You will be requested to provide your membership number and expiry date. Not a SSAA member yet? Click HERE to apply for your membership now. You can choose to opt-in for the SSAA Mutual Firearms Protection. 

• You must wear ear protection, safety glasses and enclosed shoes. Camouflage apparel is forbidden.

• You are responsible for bringing your own material (including firearm and ammunition) unless specifically arranged prior to booking with the Open Day Delegate - asst-sec@mundaring-marksmen.com.au

• The Open Day will proceed in rain, or shine, bring appropriate clothing.

• You will shoot at 100m, or 50m with time limits for each session.

• You need 25 rounds + warmers/sight-in if necessary.

• Muzzle breaks are NOT allowed on centerfires. Muzzle breaks on 22LR are OK.

• Spare front and rear rests will be available from the club.

• Please arrive 20 minutes early for the safety briefing to ensure you don't miss your allocated timeslot.

At the end of your shoot, your attendance will be recorded and uploaded to Practiscore for you to see your results (if you wish).
