Modern Monetary Theory and a Post-Growth Economy
Description
How can fiscal policy help us build an economy that is both ecologically sustainable and socially just? This talk explores how six influential frameworks—Green Growth, Degrowth, Post-Growth, Doughnut Economics, Modern Monetary Theory and the Sustainable Development Goals—might work together to support a just transition. Drawing on their strengths and addressing their tensions, the author proposes a pathway towards an economy that meets human needs within planetary limits.
