Mobilise for Equality

In just a few short weeks the NSW Equality Bill will likely be debated in Parliament. 

Passing this Bill will improve the lives of the LGBTSBIQA+ community in NSW by protecting us from discrimination, better recognising rainbow families, completing the work to decriminalise sex work, and updating birth certificate laws to allow trans people to amend their gender markers without the need for surgery.

However, right now these life-changing reforms are under threat. Anti-equality lobbyists have spent months stoking fear and hate to try and fracture political support for the Equality Bill. Furthermore, the NSW Government has so far refused to pledge its support for the Bill in its entirety.

To make sure that the Equality Bill becomes law we need to show the government just how important these reforms are to our community and that we are willing to fight for them.
