#MobOnMondays at QSA
Event description
Everyone’s story belongs in the archives
QSA invites Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors to join one of our #MobOnMondays sessions, where our First Nations Strategy team will be available to help guests explore records, trace community connections, uncover stories or simply learn about the archives in a supportive environment.
Why #MobOnMondays?
Government records can contain personal, or sensitive, information about people and communities. It can also be difficult to understand where information is held and how to access it. Our First Nations Strategy team will be there to guide and support you as you navigate the collection.
About #MobOnMondays
Across November 2025 to February 2026, members of our First Nations Strategy team will be in the Reading Room on specific days to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors to search our catalogue.
Book into one of four sessions running from November to February to explore the archives and discover your community’s story:
Monday 3 November 2025 - 9am-4:30pm
Monday 1 December 2025 - 9am-4:30pm
Monday 12 January 2026 - 9am-4:30pm
Monday 9 February 2026 - 9am-4:30pm.
If these dates don’t suit, please contact our First Nations Strategy Team (firstnationsstrategy@archives.qld.gov.au) as we're keen to see as many visitors as possible at the Archives.
Things to know about visiting QSA
There are no food outlets onsite at Queensland State Archives. Cafes and take-away options are nearby but these are best reached by car. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available in our Visitor’s Lounge, as is access to a microwave and a refrigerator. We recommend bringing a water bottle and a packed lunch.
