Experience the works of PhD candidate Changrui He at the opening of ‘Modular Assemblies: Knit / Reknit'

Joining does more than hold a garment together. It can also make room for what comes next.Featuring experimental knitted textile and garment prototypes, this exhibition explores the role of removable connections in modular knitwear design. Individual pieces can be separated, rearranged and reassembled, allowing existing materials to be adapted and reused over time. The work places joining at the centre of an approach to up-cycling in which a garment's first form need not be its last.
