Event description

BIOBLITZ registrations are now OPEN ! Sorry it took so long........ register at Humanitix

Bioblitz. Mogumber Town Reserve. 30th-31st August 2025. This free event is open to EVERYONE to learn about and experience WA natural environment.

A BioBlitz is a 24-hour event involving rapid collection of data about the biological diversity of a particular site; enabling scientists and other experts to identify as many plant and animal species as can be found in this limited time frame. It doesn’t provide a complete inventory of species, but rather a ‘snapshot’ of the species that occur in the area.

This free event is open to EVERYONE - you don’t have to be a native flora and fauna whizz to join in. If you’re keen on nature, want to learn about the natural environment around you, meet new friends and don’t mind camping then WE WANT YOU ! We have awesome ecology gurus to help us - Phil Lewis, Joe Tonga, Jenny Borger, Kylie Payne & more.

WHEN? 30th-31st August 2025. Meet and Register at Mogumber Town Reserve Hall Saturday 30th August 10:30am (welcome to camp Friday 29th Aug evening).
