Monash University Wound Care Series - Webinar 3, 2025
Event description
Infection
Any break in the skin integrity can lead to development of a wound infection. Wounds are often classified as acute, chronic, hard to heal depending on their healing duration. With the increasing risk of Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) it is essential all health care professionals can recognise and manage wound infection effectively and in a timely manner. This session will explore prevalence of wound infection, preventative measures, early recognition of wound infection and effective management treatments. AMR and antimicrobial stewardship programmes will be explored and how they can be implemented into clinical practice. The role of professionals and the public in AMS will be explored.
If you are a health professional this seminar will provide valuable information to help you further support your patients.
Presented by Professor Karen Ousey, this is the third of the 2025 series of webinars which follows a series of webinars available for viewing when you have purchased your ticket.
