Build your sewing skills in a relaxed, supportive environment while working on projects that inspire you. Our intimate weekly evening sewing classes are kept deliberately small — with a maximum of just 4 participants — so you'll always receive plenty of personalised guidance and individual attention from our experienced seamstress.

Classes run every week for 4 weeks, from 6:30–9pm, A minimum commitment of 4 sessions is required to join — and if life gets in the way and you miss a session, no stress! Make-up sessions are available on Tuesday evenings so you never fall behind.

How the sessions are structured:

Note: While we have planned out 4 weeks, there is flexibility. We pick up where we left off at the end of the last session. The following is just a rough plan that we adjust as needed. If week 3 becomes week 4 that's totally fine.

🧵 Week 1 — Meet Your Machine

We kick off by getting comfortable with the sewing machine — whether you're a complete beginner or just a little rusty. By the end of the evening, you'll be ready to start your own simple project.

✂️ Week 2 — Hemming & Mending

Two of the most practical and empowering sewing skills you'll ever learn. From taking up a hem to mending a beloved garment, these are techniques you'll use for life.

🌟 Week 3 — Your Project, Your Way
From here, the class becomes yours. Bring a project you've been dreaming about, a garment you'd love to make, or an alteration you've been putting off — our experienced seamstress will guide and support you every step of the way.

We do ask that you have a chat with us before diving into a project, so we can help you choose something that matches your current skill level and sets you up for success rather than frustration. The joy of sewing is in the making — and the right project at the right time makes all the difference! As your skills and confidence grow, so will the complexity of what you can tackle. There will always be something new to learn and something more ambitious to make just around the corner. 🌟

🌟 Week 4 — Continue with Your Project, Your Way

Start a new project or finish off the one you're working on. Want to continue with your sewing journey? This will be when you can let us know if you want to rebook for another set of 4 sessions.

A little something extra:
All participants have access to our fabric bins — a wonderful treasure trove of preloved but never used fabrics. While most pieces are under a metre in length, with a little creativity you'd be amazed at what you can transform them into. A wearable work of art? Absolutely possible!

• We need a minimum of 4 for the class to run. As such, we are suggesting 12th October as the start date; however, this date may be pushed out until we have the numbers required.

Sessions: Minimum of 4 sessions | Make-up sessions available on Tuesday evenings

Cost: - $320 for 4 sessions - BYO machine

• We highly recommend learning on your own machine. However, we do have machines you can learn on for an additional $40 for the 4-week period.
