A little more than playgroup

Our Playgroup is a warm, welcoming introduction to the world of Steiner education — and to the community of our school.

We believe young children learn through their whole environment, so our Playgroup is intentionally simple, natural and nourishing. You’ll find beautiful wooden toys and natural materials, seasonal stories and songs, creative play, simple craft, time outdoors, homemade bread baking and delicious shared food prepared with care.

Each week explores a different aspect of Steiner pedagogy and early childhood, creating a nurturing, supportive and informative space for children aged 0–4 and their parents and carers.

And just as importantly, Playgroup is a place for connection. A place where children can play, explore and discover alongside others, while parents and carers meet, share, learn and build community with like-minded families.

Our aim is to create a culture of meaningful connection and provide a little soul nourishment during this unique and often intense stage of new parenthood.

Your Playgroup facilitator

Zoe Goldsmith facilitates our weekly Monday Playgroup during school terms, bringing warmth, experience and a deep understanding of Steiner early childhood education to each session.

Why is there a Playgroup fee?

As a small independent school, we receive no government funding to run our Playgroup. Your contribution helps us provide the natural materials, nourishing food, creative resources and dedicated facilitation that make this experience possible.

Playgroup details

• Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

• 9.30am–12pm

• During school terms

• For children aged 0–4 years and their parents/carers

• $25 per session or $225 for a 9-week term

Places are limited and fill quickly, so we recommend booking early.

If you miss a session, you’re welcome to attend another Playgroup day within the same term as a make-up session, so you can still enjoy your full nine sessions.

Siblings under 12 months attend free.
Siblings aged 1 year and over: $5 per week.
