Monotreme Mania! Kumbartcho


Event description

Join Wildlife Queensland PlatypusWatch and EchidnaWatch for a morning of fun and learning about our incredible monotremes.

Dr Tam and Dr Kate will speak about platypus and echidna biology, their conservation, and their importance in ecosystems. During morning tea, enjoy crafts to create quirky critters, and then take a walk around the Kumbartcho Sanctuary grounds to learn about the habitat features that sustain these monotremes and what you can do to help them.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 am — Sign-in
  • 9:15 am — Welcome and echidna presentation
  • 9:40 am — Morning tea and craft
  • 10:20 am — Walk and talk along South Pine River
  • 11:00 am — Finish

Morning tea is provided.
Suitable for children aged 3+ years.
Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
The event is capped at 40 people for morning tea, but walk-ins are welcome.
