Meet your presenter

Dr Rebecca English

Dr Rebecca English is a researcher and teacher whose work explores how parents make choices about their children’s education in alignment with their beliefs about family and parenting.

Her particular interest is in the choice of non-mainstream education. Her work considers how families exercise power and agency through the decisions they make about education and parenting.

Understanding Family Choice

Explore the beliefs, priorities and experiences that shape the educational decisions families make for their children.

Communicating Montessori’s Value

Consider how Montessori programs can clearly and authentically communicate their philosophy, purpose and distinctive educational approach.

Gain fresh perspectives on developing relationships with prospective and current families through trust, understanding and shared values.

Rebecca brings exceptional experience and knowledge to the Montessori Australia Executive Team—and, ultimately, to all our members and supporters.

Fresh perspectives. Meaningful connections.

Created for parents, teachers and educational leaders across the globe, these engaging sessions offer practical insights and fresh perspectives to help you support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
