How Montessori Philosophy Should Guide Corporate Culture and Leadership

Meet your presenter

Vicki McKinnon

After a number of years in secondary and early childhood teaching, Vicki began her Montessori training twenty years ago.

Since then, Vicki has led her organisation through the development and establishment of three Montessori Long Day Care centres. She also recognised that a training organisation was an essential component in supporting an authentic Montessori workforce.

Building Futures Education was established more than ten years ago and delivers both Early Childhood and Montessori qualifications.

Over the years, Vicki has evolved from educator to businesswoman, building strong capability across the strategic elements that support an organisation to deliver optimal education.

She has a particular interest in how Montessori philosophy can influence leadership approaches and support Education for Peace within adult communities.

Montessori-Inspired Leadership

Explore how Montessori philosophy can inform leadership practices, organisational decision-making and the way adults work together.

Sustainable Organisational Growth

Discover how the practices of leading companies reflect Montessori principles—and what this means for developing a strong and sustainable Montessori sector.

Education for Peace

Consider how purposeful leadership can foster respectful, capable and peaceful adult communities within Montessori organisations.

Join Vicki as she explores how leadership can be learned. Drawing on world-class business thinking, she reveals how the practices of the best companies mirror Montessori philosophy—and what this means for growing a sustainable sector.

Vicki is a member of the Montessori Australia Executive Team and serves as a Board member.

Fresh perspectives. Meaningful connections.

Created for parents, teachers and educational leaders across the globe, these engaging sessions offer practical insights and fresh perspectives to help you support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
