Event description
Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) 2026 ROME
PARENT INFORMATION EVENING
Dear Parents,
Join us for an informative evening presentation about Montessori Model United Nations (MMUN) Rome Conference on Wednesday 6th May, 2025 at 6pm.
During this meeting we will discuss how the conference is structured, how we will prepare the students and any dates and costs we have available to us at the time. We will be joined by a panel of parents and students who have attended multiple conferences who can provide insight from their perspectives.
This meeting is for your information only. It is not a firm commitment to participating in the conference.
MMUN is for students who will be in Year 4 to Year 9, the year of the conference. All parents, however, are very welcome to attend the evening.
What is MMUN?
MMUN year-long program immerses students in an international peer community, fostering a lifelong impact on their lives by honing their empathy, critical thinking, academic writing, public speaking, debating, negotiation, and leadership skills. MMUN provides an opportunity for young people to: 1) Learn about cultures, governments and peoples of nations throughout the world. 2) Apply research, writing and communications skills, 3) Develop critical thinking, problem solving and evaluative skills, 4) Debate current global issues and world problems, 5) Practice and use leadership skills in real life global situations, and 6) Understand the need for peace and conflict resolution throughout the world.
The MMUN program involves year-long classroom and after school study at home, participation in online working sessions and social meetups with global peers, which then culminates in a multi-day global education. United Nations (UN) simulation experience (the conference) that enables students in Upper Primary and High School to learn about the operations of the UN and its role as the world’s largest international peacekeeping and humanitarian organisation.
Our experience over many years of attending these conferences with our students and their families, has demonstrated that it is a life-changing experience for all.
We look forward to your attendance at the parent evening to find out more about this dynamic and rewarding program.
