Tết Trung Thu, also known as the Vietnamese Moon Festival, is one of Vietnam’s most cherished celebrations. It is a festival of family, children, lanterns, mooncakes, and togetherness. Whether you grew up celebrating Trung Thu or are discovering this beautiful tradition for the first time, everyone is welcome to experience the warmth and joy of Vietnamese culture.

Bring your whānau and friends for a day filled with vibrant performances, a traditional Lion Dance, hands-on craft activities, delicious Vietnamese food, interactive cooking workshops, cultural games, and fun for all ages. Children can create their own lanterns and masks, enjoy face painting, and explore activities inspired by this much-loved festival.

This year, Moonlit Memories is bigger than ever, taking place alongside the popular Naenae Saturday Market to create a vibrant community celebration in the heart of Lower Hutt. Together, we’ll celebrate culture, build connections, and create lasting memories under the full moon.
