Moongold EP Release w/ Veronique

Join DC soul-funk band Moongold and singer-songwriter Veronique for a night of infectious grooves, soulful vocals, and great live music as Moongold celebrates the release of their new EP, Change Comes For Us All. Drawing inspiration from artists like Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and the rich musical traditions of Motown and Stax, Moongold puts a modern spin on soul and funk, blending irresistible rhythms with a jazz-infused heart.

Following the release of their debut EP, Modern Life, on Denver-based independent label Color Red in 2023, Moongold relocated to Washington, DC, where the band was rebuilt around a new lineup of local musicians. Their latest EP, Change Comes For Us All, marks their first recording with this all-DC ensemble. Across six songs, the band moves between propulsive soul-funk, blues, lush ballads, and intimate jazz textures, bringing together tight horn arrangements, gritty grooves, and soulful vocals with the loose energy of a late-night Stax Records session.

Opening the night is Veronique, a DC-based singer-songwriter and self-described fledgling poet whose music and writing offer a personal creative perspective. Her latest album, ILLITERATE, marks a new chapter in her work as an artist. Come early to catch her opening set before Moongold takes the stage.
