Event description

Life isn’t linear.  All things cycle.  We cycle.  Period.

Moonsong explores and honours our menstrual, life, lunar and earth cycles.

The purpose of this Moonsong workshop is to explore and honour our menstrual cycle and life seasons, the influence of the lunar cycle and the earth’s seasons, the spiritual practice of menstruation and the transformative power of our rites of passage.

These are historically aspects of our embodied experience as women and humans that have been denied, denigrated and made taboo. Gathering as women in circle in this workshop space is a reclamation – a Re-Membering – of our cyclical wisdom and power…

Together we’ll remember the Herstory, where we have come from and how we find ourselves here in a culture that devalues our female bodies.

Together we’ll recall our menarche, our first blood, and all that this rite-of-passage taught us about what it means to be a woman.

Together we’ll create a map of the cycles by which to orient ourselves and alter our perspective.

All we need to do is bring awareness, and things change! And the world is in sore need of our wisdom as embodied, joyful women right now…
