It's been a hot minute since Melbourne jazz-doof luminaries Moor Music took over Brunswick’s Rubix Warehouse for their inaugural sold-out instalment of RINSE AID, and now with a few new tricks up their sleeves, they’re coming back to the hive for round 2.

Presenting a non-stop, 9-hour showcase of Melbourne's finest up and coming nu-jazz, neo soul and experimental outfits, for one night only, Moor Music will transform Rubix into a transcendental oasis of energy and sound.

Utilising two stages that will reside concurrently, RINSE AID 2 will feature live bands on the main stage and DJ’s on a purpose built in-crowd platform, providing for an immersive 360 degree boiler room experience of uninterrupted musical mayhem from start to finish.

Enhanced by audiovisual installations and live art performance throughout the festival - every element of RINSE AID 2 has been meticulously considered to deliver an unforgettable evening of all-encompassing sensory satisfaction.

Henry Hicks AKA Horatio Luna is a Melbourne based improviser, composer, bassist and producer. 

A founding member of hip-hop/soul community 30/70 collective, he is an active member of the Australian beatz, jazz and soul music scene.

IZY

Izy (pronounced eye-zee)​ is the world’s first Far North Queensland neo-soul supergroup representing an optimistic postcolonial version of Australian identity and music. Heritage is important to Izy and they are proud to bring their diverse musical and cultural influences together, to inform the unique sound that they have carved out as their own.

I HOLD THE LION’S PAW

A Melbourne based trumpeter, composer & improviser, Reuben Lewis' latest project is I Hold the Lion's Paw - an eight-piece psychedelic jazz collective that features some of Melbourne’s most exciting musicians. The music is born out of an organic crossover of afro-beat, jazz and outré electronics. 

MALLA

Malla are a nu-jazz collective that fuse boom-bap beats, jazz harmony and chaotic soundscapes. Their music intertwines each individual's voice to create a liquid sound breaching styles of house, future-jazz and drum and bass. Their energetic live performance will transfix and transcend those around them into a sonorous dreamland.

DJ JNETT

Inarguably the don of house music in Australia, Janette Pitruzzello aka DJ JNETT has brought heat to Melbourne's music culture since the early 90s, with an inimitable underground sound that truly defies any categorization.

MARSH LONG 

MARSH LONG describes herself as a bright kaleidoscope of colours, yet frequents the city’s best electronic music institutions with her delicate version of dark techno. A master of feeding off a dancefloors’ energy, MARSH LONG possesses an incredibly deep drive for incorporating purpose and building a storyline into every set.

MOL K

Hailing from Johannesburg, MOL K began his career playing vinyl in underground bars in his home country. Fast forward 15 years and MOL K’s experience on the global music scene has grown to includes shows at universally recognised music and art destinations including Art Basel, Miami Winter Music Conference and Grahamstown Arts Festival. His sonic speciality is a considered blend of House, Hip Hop, Kwaito, Lounge, EDM, Funk, Disco, Jazz, Drum and Bass, Gqoom, Afro, Amapiano, Jazz Rap and Lofi.

MASON JORDY

Producer and disco synth player MASON JORDY, channeled his love of casual mixing into an everyday obsession after being forced to recreate revs at home during Melbourne’s lockdown of 2020. Nurtured by the Moor Music family, Mason Jordy blends disco with techno to deliver rave vibes with a sophisticated flair.

Moor Music is a booking, artist management and events company based in Melbourne, Australia. 

Founded in 2019 by musician and events producer Josh Olave, what began as a block party in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, swiftly transcended into a cornerstone of the city’s burgeoning instrumental dance scene. 

Composed of a passionate collective of musicians, sound and lighting artists and production mavens, Moor Music was established with a sole mission; to showcase and champion the array of untapped raw talent that sit at the cross over of nu-jazz and electronic/dance production.
