Morgen Wieder Lustik
Description
From triumphant theatre productions across Europe to the glamour of Hollywood movies to the gas chambers of Auschwitz, Heinz Lewin was a celebrated composer in the early 20th Century whose bonhomie and brilliance were overshadowed by the march of history.
But the music continued right until the very end, with new melodies still being written and performed in the internment camp of Septfonds, just days before he was deported to his death.
Morgen Wieder Lustik is a journey through Heinz' life and music, much of it lost for more than 80 years but now rediscovered and entertaining a whole new generation of audiences.
Written by and starring his great-grandson, scriptwriter and journalist Zeddy Lawrence, with musical accompaniment from acclaimed pianist and performer Tomi Kalinski, former musical director for the late Barry Humphries.
