Event description

Take a pause to contemplate your mortality on this Day of the Dead and All Saints' weekend, and join us for a mini retreat to learn experientially in the contemplative "memento mori" tradition. We will draw from contemporary practices on how to live deeply and mindfully as we engage in guided reflections and discussions, creative activities, and practical applications including a life review and an ethical will.

“Listen to your life. See it for the fathomless mystery it is. In the boredom and pain of it, no less than in the excitement and gladness: touch, taste, smell your way to the holy and hidden heart of it, because in the last analysis all moments are key moments, and life itself is grace.”
-- Frederick Buechner

Space is limited to 20 people; a light lunch will be provided.
This mini retreat is presented in partnership with Tau and The Salon at Resurrection Brooklyn in Clinton Hill.
