Mother's Day Picnic on the Farm 2025

Family is at the heart of everything we do. Mother's Day Picnic on our farm is a celebration of life's simple pleasures, shared with family, amongst family, on our family farm. As with all our Market Days, we'll have the farm larder open for you to fill your empty picnic baskets on your way out, plus just a few extra special stalls with local products for Mother's Day.

Head off on your own animal feeding adventure; meet our dewy-eyed calves and cows, boisterous sheep and crazy goats, chickens and ducks, guinea pigs and of course, our cheeky pigs. Don't miss the smashing pumpkins pig feeding with the farmers. A hit with the children and adults alike.

Picnic under the shade of the blue gums, with views to the Lost World and beyond. Stroll to the river and take in the peaceful sounds of the Albert. Indulge in High Tea, a ploughman's platter or BYO picnic. 

Speaking of picnics, reserved picnic spots are back this year. If you're not keen to lug all your picnic gear to the farm, leave it to us. Choose from tables and chairs, picnic blankets or hay bales to complete your perfect picnic layout. Limited reserved places are available so be quick to secure yours. Of course, you're very welcome to roll up on the day complete with your own picnic gear and find a lovely spot on our beautiful farm.

Join Shionagh from Scenic Rim Pottery to make your very own rustic serving platter using natural materials gathered from the farm, such as flowers, leaves, and textures. Or personalise it with special items from home, like your grandmother's favourite doily. (Bookings essential - limited spaces). The kids can enjoy making an extra special gift from the farm, potting seeds with Rachel from Jasmine Urban Farm. 

This year, you can treat Mum to a touch of indulgence with High Tea, deliciously catered by Steeped in Tradition High Tea Co. Take a step back in time to the era of elegance and fine bone china, and book Mum a seat at their High Tea table. Enjoy a traditional High Tea with signature scones, served with home-made jam and our own Jersey whipped cream, along with a hand-picked selection of petite sandwiches, savouries and sweet treats, all served with your choice from their range of teas and tisanes. For something slightly more relaxed but equally as delicious, enjoy a picnic on the grass with a Picnic High Tea for Two or a rustic Ploughman’s Platter from Fire n Dough.

Family portrait sittings are back again this year! 15 minute sessions in the farm hay shed with renowned local photographer Carin Garland (Carin Garland website) will be available across the day - the perfect Mother's Day memento. Spaces are very limited and sittings must be booked with your ticket purchase. 

Our friends at Barney Creek Vineyard will be joining us again with their amazing range of wines available on the day. Purchase by the glass, or a bottle to share. We're so thrilled to have them join us with their beautiful local product.

We'll have our Jersey Girl gourmet ice creams of course, and the Farm Larder will be stocked with all our farm deliciousness for you take home! Harry's biodynamic/organic veg will be available too.

Prefer to BYO picnic, no problem. We're happy for you to enjoy your own picnic on our farm.

With a true country atmosphere and picturesque views in abundance, our farm is the perfect place to celebrate this Mother's Day.
