We are excited to connect with mums from across the region, share stories and raise vital funds to support isolated rural mums across the country. All proceeds go directly to Motherland, so we can continue supporting mums in rural and isolated areas across Australia. A huge thanks to all businesses for their generous sponsorship and raffle donations, we are so grateful for your support. While this event is a celebration of rural mums, everyone is welcome—whether you’re a rural mum, know a rural mum, or simply want to support this important cause.
About Grace Brennan
Entrepreneur Grace Brennan lives on a sheep and cropping farm in Warren, NSW with her
husband Jack and their four children. In 2019 Grace founded #buyfromthebush, a ground-breaking social media campaign in support of rural communities facing drought. The campaign celebrates the creativity, innovation and ingenuity of people in rural communities and calls on people in the city to invest in bush business as a means of crisis-proofing rural Australia. In 2020, Grace launched an online marketplace for Buy From The Bush as well as a rural accommodation directory, Stay In The Bush. Both are online platforms connecting rural makers, creators, artists and retailers with global customers. Her Buy From The Bush campaign has generated over $14M for small and micro businesses based in rural Australia, changed perceptions, and united city and country. Grace has successfully partnered with multinationals like PayPal, Visa and Meta to deliver capacity building opportunities and, in an unprecedented way, connect Australian bush business with global customers. Grace was named by the Sydney Morning Herald as one of the nine most influential women entrepreneurs of 2020 and was invited by the Premier of NSW to give the Australia Day Address to the nation. In 2021 she was named NSW Regional Woman of the Year and was a NSW finalist for Australian of The Year. Passionate about storytelling and community-driven change, Grace is a proud advocate for regional Australia, and women in business.
