Mother's Day Evening
Gentle Hatha Yoga followed by a Yoga Nidra practice with Sound Healing. A gentle practice to move through what we carry in the world, to tend and care for ourselves in order to come into balance. For anyone who is a mother, feels a desire to connect with the maternal within, or feels a desire to be held by mother earth.
All bodies, ages, yogic abilities welcome. If special accommodation is required please get in touch. Accessibility note: 9 stairs for building entry. There is a friendly dog on site.  This is in a home so space is limited.Â

Facilitators:
Alejandro Zuluaga (Hatha Yoga Instructor) holds a BSc(Hons) in Psychology and Physiology; his embodiment practices have included training and working as a Hatha Yoga teacher, Conscious Dance facilitator, and providing Holistic Massage. His personal practice includes breath and sensation based meditation (Vipassana), somatic movement meditation (5Rhythms), an intuitive expressive music practice, and nature immersions. He has worked in front lines mental health and addiction services, community arts, and coaches individuals on wellness and nervous system regulation.
Heather Saumer (Yoga Nidra and Sound Healing) is a Gestalt Psychotherapist (RP), musician (MMus), music teacher, tuning fork therapist, yoga nidra instructor, and community arts facilitator living in West Grey. Her performance career stretches across Canada, Europe and NY, and she's been teaching groups and individuals for over 25 years. Heather's personal practice includes mindfulness meditation, emotionally integrated voice practices, prayer, attuning to nature, and intuitive music and movement improvisation that integrates body, mind and spirit.
