Mountain & Swamp Music: Johnny Can’t Dance Cajun Band + Narrownecks
Description
David Hoffmann and Harry O’Donovan are Narrownecks, and together they make old music in dramatic and inspired new ways. Based in the Blue Mountains, their fast-driving fiddle and banjo melodies, and intricate, delicate finger-style guitar and vocal harmonies deliver a unique and intimate acoustic performance. Melbourne-based multi-instrumentalist and American southern “roots” music specialist Craig Woodward fronts The Johnny Can’t Dance Cajun Band, one of Australia’s leading Cajun/Creole music ensembles and dedicated practitioners of the traditional dance and social music of rural southwest Louisiana and East Texas. They will be joined for this special show by David Hoffmann and Jamie Sampson to bring us 2-steps, 1-steps, waltzes, blues and stomps from the swamps!
