MOVE, SENSE, BREATHE | Somatic Dance | Wānaka
Description
MOVE, SENSE, BREATHE.
We are sensing bodies. We take on information from our environment in every single moment. Our skin receives, perceives, and creates meaning from that - whether we are aware of it or not.
This dance is an invitation to SLOW all the way down. To turn your focus towards what is happening around and within your body. To awaken the sensing body through movement, through noticing the subtle and not so subtle - and begin to amplify the feelings of aliveness that is possible for us.
This dance will take a slower pace and rhythm. A moving meditation.
The breath guides us along this journey.
Come to be danced.
"Energy moves in waves. Waves move in patterns. Patterns move in rhythms. A human being is just that—energy, waves, patterns, rhythms. Nothing more. Nothing less. A dance."
🌀 No dance experience needed — just bring your body and your curiosity.
🌀 Wear something comfortable to move in.
🌀 Open to all bodies.
