Beam has partnered with Place Intelligence to host a line-up of some of Australia’s leading Movement and Place practitioners, mobility as a service providers and local government leaders. Join us for a knowledge sharing event about the changing transport demands of movement, place, MaaS and micromobility, and how cities are responding and adapting.

  • 8:30 am arrival (for 9am start) to 1:00 pm

Session 1: Movement and Place - Best Practice

Hear from transport leaders about the NSW Movement and Place framework and share the insights and experience of some of Australia's leading practitioners.

Session 2: Evidence Based Planning and Design

This session will focus on the use of data to support evidence based design, economic development, transport planning strategy and policy decisions. 

Place Intelligence is a leading location intelligence provider working with local governments across Australia to provide insights for evidence based planning and design. Hear from local government leaders as they share experiences of how they are using big data to support better movement, place, and economic development outcomes in their communities.

Session 3. City Impacts of Mobility as a Service 

This session will focus on the role of mobility as a service in supporting different transport and mobility demands in cities and how that is influencing mode shift and better service outcomes.The panel will discuss emerging MaaS models and recent partnerships that have helped energise transport networks and supported cities to get moving again. 

Session 4. Micromobilty in Practice 

This session will focus on the practical realities of bringing micromobility and active transport programs to life. Hear from a panel of local government practitioners and transport academics as they discuss how micromobility operators have worked with councils to manage safety concerns, improve transport equity and energise the economy.
