Movement + Play Lab

Who are you becoming? Who are you when you feel most aligned and in your body? In this laboratory we will use somatic practices, theater games, embodiment tools to get out of our heads, into our hearts & express something inside you that is ready to be seen. This is ideal for anyone who enjoys dance, theater, acting or feels called to explore these things in a welcoming judgement free space. 

About Alison

Alison H. LeBrun is a movement artist, physical storyteller & devisor-facilitator of transformational experiences. She has trained in Physical Acting techniques (Lucid Body), Theatrical Clown with Karen Anne Light, Butoh & rhythmic dance forms such as salsa, swing, West African & bharatnatyam. She’s also informed by years of improv classes & playback theater practice. She worked for 10 years as a performance artist with TEN31 Productions, has performed her solo work at The PIT Solocom in nyc, SMUSH Gallery in Jersey City, The Idiots Hour NYC. She has been invited to perform at Snug Harbor with Mélisande Echanique Choreography, in NYC with BodyStories: Teresa Fellion Dance & with Vangeline Butoh Dance at the NYC Dance Parade choreographed by Yazmin Gonzolez. She is a co-creator of ClownPark with Gian Carlos Villa, which is a project they started in 2025 to explore the heart of performing in public and the question: what is the purpose of art in public?. Her approach to art making is rooted in curiosity, delight, and a genuine desire to connect with herself and others in the process. When she’s not dancing, performing or creating with others she is a facilitator with a passion for supporting people  to connect to new possibilities & their unique creative expression through 1:1 Sessions and group programs. One of her favorite resources for staying connected to her inner artist's yes & delight is The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron (she’s personally journeyed through it 5x and facilitated 13 Artist Way Circles). Her favorite Julia Cameron quote is, “Serious art is born from serious play”, and her favorite question to play with in life is: What else is possible?
