Chosen to reflect the theme of our next issue – “The Future” – Blade Runner (1982) is an iconic science fiction masterpiece that explores the meaning of what it is to be human in a world with synthetic AI creations known as replicants.
Lumen film expert Associate Professor Ben McCann will get things started at 5:45pm with a brief discussion of the Ridley Scott-directed film, its cinematic impact, what it got right and wrong about the future - and just why there have been so many different versions of the film.
Union House’s magnificent new restaurant, Taikunthi, which is right next door to the cinema, will provide audience members with a complimentary snack and a drink free of charge!
