This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

We have made the difficult call to cancel today's event due to the extraordinary weather happening across the region. We have done this in the interests of safety.

We will be rescheduling the event for later in the year - so please join our mailing list or follow us on social media if you would like to attend.

You will be notified if you have registered.

Thank you,

Michele, Jessica, Rosalee, Erica and all our speakers and participants.

We all want to do our bit for the planet, but sometimes it’s hard to know where to start - especially with something so habitual as getting around our city.

How do you e-bike with kids? Is it worth getting an EV? What’s happening with the buses?

Come along to this first free event in our Christchurch Conversations series: Towards 2030. Explore the best ways of cutting carbon in your day-to-day travel with local people who are already doing it.

Whether you’re someone who wants to save money, get fitter, or avoid parking hassles and commuting stress, this event has something for you.

1.30-2pm & 3.30-4pm: Expo at Tūranga. Chat to those supporting low GHG emissions transport options, and talk to local users.

2-3.30pm: Presentations in the TSB Space, Tūranga Level 1. Hear about different transport options and the role of government and councils in making our travel clean, easy and fair.

This Christchurch Conversations series is presented by Te Pūtahi Centre for Architecture and City Making, in partnership with Christchurch City Council. The series is supported by Metro and our sponsors for this event are Waka Kotahi and Lime.
