Description

Join us for a public talk on 'Gospel Values and the Weaponisation of Christianity', as part of the 2026 Movement for the Ordination of Women Conference.

Christian nationalism has emerged globally in recent years, with significant impacts on democratic societies.

An expert panel explores this phenomenon, how it is impacting local, national and global politics, and what alternatives the Christian gospel has to offer to the public square in Australia and beyond.

The Panel is made up of Rev’d Dr Elenie Poulos (moderator), and speakers Associate Professor David Smith and The Rev’d Dr Robyn Whitaker. This event is co-sponsored with the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture and the Movement for the Ordination of Women.

Please note that this registration is only for the evening public event. Bookings and program details for all or part of the MOW Conference are available on the Conference website. Ideally, Conference bookings would be made by 26 October.
