CULTURAL NOTES
*We recognise that language, identity, cultures and borders are slippery, complex and - at times - violent. We hope to put forward an event that embraces many facets of cultures and practices of the South Asian subcontinent, while also acknowledging we could never holistically reflect the richness of it all ♡ We have tried our best to resist the cultural and religious hegemonies, and provide moments of critical reflection and imagination. If you would like to share any dialogue or thoughts on this, we hope you feel comfortable to speak to Shareeka and Naaz at the event, or reach out to us via @multiculturalpeersproject or multiculturalpeers@outloud.org.au
