About the speaker

Ben McGrath considers himself incredibly fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. He built and sold one of Australia's first digital agencies, placing himself at the forefront of the digital revolution. Recognising the potential of mobile technology early on, he developed direct-to-consumer apps when apps were just emerging. He not only invested in early iPhone payment solutions before Apple Pay existed but also helped scale them, demonstrating his knack for anticipating industry shifts. Starting from scratch, he listed a business on the ASX in under two years while simultaneously building an incubator to help other entrepreneurs, showcasing his ability to rapidly grow ventures and his commitment to fostering innovation in others. As a driving force in professionalising influencer marketing, he helped establish industry standards and models. Along the way, Ben has learned many hard-won lessons and is happy to share his experiences with aspiring entrepreneurs, hoping to help them navigate their own journeys.
