Meet the Finalists
Akili Sono
Pitching: Eraga Magotti
The AI wave has revolutionized many industries, including medicine, but traditional and point of care ultrasound (POCUS) have lagged behind in AI adoption. Sonographers and sonologists face significant challenges with time-consuming reporting and quality control of imaging, which can take up to 50% of their time and lead to subpar scans due to human error and varying patient body metrics. To address these issues, an AI co-pilot is being developed to read ultrasound images in real-time, generate detailed referral-ready reports, and assist in producing high-quality scans. This AI system aims to save clinicians hours of time, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance patient outcomes. The initial focus will be on Obstetrics and Gynaecology ultrasound, with plans to expand to other specialties over time.
