Enjoy a presentation about how a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) separates used packaging into material type ready for reprocessing. You’ll also learn about the dos and don'ts of recycling, such as remembering to leave the lid on your plastic bottles and why.

Then see the MRF in action, as a series of conveyor belts, material specific machines, manual sorters and massive trommels make light work of separating 340 tonnes of mixed used packaging a day.

This event is free for attendees within the EASL council region e.g. Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Whitehorse and Yarra Ranges. Attendees will receive a Certificate meeting professional development requirements set by VIT registration.
