MS Long Lunch
Event description
We're looking forward to welcoming you to the ‘MS long lunch’, a chance to get together with other amazing Canberrans, dine at one of our most beautiful country venues and support the fight to end multiple sclerosis (MS).
This gorgeous autumn event will be at Poachers Pantry, and includes a three course wine and dining experience, local entertainment, auctions, travel to and from Canberra and much more.
MS is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects people in the prime of their life, with a wide range of possible debilitating physical and mental health symptoms. In Australia, MS is increasing at a significant and accelerating rate, with 1-2 Australians diagnosed every day.
Sadly, this affects us more in the ACT, with high numbers of Canberrans living with MS because of our unique cold climate. This is why so many of us in this city are connected in some way, with someone, who has MS.
All funds raised from the lunch will go to the Trish MS Research Foundation, which for 23 years has supported research into finding a cure or preventative strategies for MS.
The Trish MS Research Foundation was established by Carol and Roy Langsford (OAMs), and inspired by the loss of their beautiful daughter, Trish, at the age of 30. It's fully staffed by volunteers and the Directors have covered all administrative expenses since inception.
Every cent raised from this Canberra event will contribute to research that could save lives from this cruel and unpredictable disease.
We look forward to welcoming you. We know you'll have a wonderful time.
