THE ALISTER SPENCE TRIO 
Formed in Sydney more than 25 years ago, this band brings together three of Australia’s most exciting, innovative, and experienced jazz musicians: Alister Spence on piano and samples, Toby Hall on drums, and Lloyd Swanton on bass.​​

Described as ‘addictive,’ ‘captivating,’ and ‘mesmerising,’ the trio are recognised for their distinctive compositions and energy and exciting interplay.  The awardwinning trio has performed at the International Jazz Festivals of Tokyo, Montréal, Vancouver, Salisbury, Chelsea, Melbourne, and Wangaratta. Their albums are frequently mentioned in ‘Best of’ Lists by international jazz publications.  

They are currently mixing their 8th trio album Gather, recorded at Rancom Studios in July this year. This will be released in early 2025.​​
