We are thrilled to announce that the MSNA 2027 Conference will be held in beautiful Hobart, Tasmania!

Join us as we venture Into the Wild and blaze new trails in MS care—together. Surrounded by Tasmania’s breathtaking wilderness, we will explore the evolving landscape of multiple sclerosis, discover emerging treatments and examine the latest research shaping the future of MS nursing and patient care.

Across the conference, we will navigate new approaches to treatment, symptom management and multidisciplinary care, while sharing practical knowledge and innovative ideas that can guide us through the complexities of MS. Together, we will challenge familiar pathways, explore new frontiers and discover better ways to support people living with MS at every stage of their journey.

Just as no one should face the wilderness alone, no MS nurse should have to navigate the changing landscape of MS care without the strength of a connected and supportive community. The MSNA 2027 Conference will bring nurses, researchers, clinicians and industry partners together to learn, collaborate, reconnect and inspire one another.

Conference Registration

The conference runs over 3 days and registration includes all 3 days. Please select 1x member or non-member ticket. Please note there is no single-day registration. Also, when registering, please select whether you are able to attend the Welcome Drinks and the Conference Dinner, we would love to see you there!

· Conference Dinner – Friday 29th October, 7-11pm @ The Grand Chancellor (Harbour View Room)

Call for Abstracts and Poster Presentations

All attendees are warmly invited to submit an abstract for consideration as either an oral presentation or a poster presentation as part of the conference program. MSNA is a welcoming gathering of like-minded and supportive peers. We would love to hear what you are focusing on in your area, what learnings you would like to share, research you have participated in or reviews that contribute to the ongoing learning in MS care.

Submissions are to be emailed to the MSNA Secretary at secretary@msnainc.org.au with the subject line “MSNA PRESENTATION” or “MSNA POSTER” as appropriate. Please include a one-page outline detailing the proposed topic, presenter(s), institutional affiliations, and any relevant conflicts of interest.

Please note that selected oral presentations will be allocated a 10-minute presentation time (with 5-minutes of questions) within the conference program. Presenters must be registered attendees.

Poster presentations will be displayed both physically in the registration foyer and electronically. The deadline for abstract and poster submissions is 30 July 2027. All successful applicants will be notified via return email following the review process.

An electronic version of all accepted posters must be submitted by 1 September 2027.

MS 101: Building Strong Foundations in MS Nursing

MS 101 is an invitation-only introductory session designed specifically for nurses who are new to the scope of MS practice.

This focused course will introduce the essential foundations of multiple sclerosis nursing, helping participants develop a practical understanding of MS, its varied presentations, treatment pathways, symptom management and the important role of the MS nurse in supporting people throughout their care journey.

Delivered in a welcoming and supportive environment, MS 101 provides an opportunity to learn from experienced MS professionals, ask questions and connect with other nurses who are also beginning their journey in this specialised field.

Every great journey begins with a strong foundation. MS 101 will give you the knowledge, confidence and direction to take your first steps into the evolving landscape of MS nursing.
