本場音樂會邀請鋼琴家 Timothy Chiang 先生獨奏演出,以深具內涵的音樂作品,帶領觀眾在藝術中默想神的恩典。從巴哈的神聖莊嚴,到蕭邦與李斯特的情感厚度,再到德布西與法朗克的靈性深度,整場音樂會以音符詮釋神學,展現信仰的美善與盼望。

巴哈-韋瓦第:《Largo e Spiccato》
蕭邦:《船歌》與四首瑪祖卡舞曲

關於演奏者:
Timothy Chiang 自幼學習鋼琴與小提琴,早年即於各大比賽獲獎,曾獲學術與音樂雙重獎學金就讀於 Scotch College,並於十四歲首次於樂團演出拉赫瑪尼諾夫《第一鋼琴協奏曲》。他擁有 LMusA、LRSM、FTCL 等演奏資格,並在完成墨爾本大學牙醫學位後,繼續兼顧牙醫與演奏事工,演出足跡遍及歐洲與亞洲,屢獲國際比賽殊榮。

This special fundraising event, Echoes of Grace: Theology in Music, will feature acclaimed concert pianist Timothy Chiang, whose performances have graced prestigious stages across Australia and Europe. Through an exquisite program of classical repertoire, the evening invites audiences to experience the beauty of God’s grace expressed through music and artistry.
From the reflective depths of Debussy and Franck to the spiritual resonance of Bach and the passion of Chopin, this thoughtfully curated recital explores how music can communicate theological truths and stir the soul in worship.

About the Artist:
Timothy Chiang began his musical studies at the age of five, learning the piano with his mother, and the violin at the age of nine with Brian Blake. From an early age winning numerous prizes in competitions, he was awarded a music and academic scholarship to Scotch College, where he then continued studying the piano with Mikhail Solovei, and the violin with Leonid Zeyde.
Timothy has been awarded the LMusA, LRSM and FTCL (piano), and LMusA (violin). During his time at Scotch College, he made his orchestral debut at the age of fourteen performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No 1 in Melba Hall, Melbourne Conservatorium, and also performed Liszt’s Piano Concerto No 1 in Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne.
After completing his secondary education, Timothy took a break from music to study dentistry at the University of Melbourne. After completing his dental studies, Timothy returned to pursuing his performing career alongside practising as a dentist.
Timothy has won numerous prizes in competitions including 3rd Prize at the IV International Piano Competition ‘ClaMo Región de Murcia’ 2018, 2nd Prize in the 2017 Salzburg ‘Grand Prize Virtuoso' International Music Competition, 3rd Prize in the 2017 Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition Berlin, 4th Prize in the 2018 Hong Kong International Piano Open Competition ‘Liszt Memorial Prizes’.
