Mt Lofty Sunset Hike - Nature Festival 2024

Event description

Come join us for a sunset hike to Mt Lofty as part of Nature Festival 2024.  Witness a sunset and enjoy a picnic hamper from the highest view point in Adelaide!

We can either pick you up from Adelaide CBD (Adelaide Railway Station or prearrange hotel pick up) at 4pm to head out of the city up to Crafers or meet us at Crafers Park and Ride at 4.20pm.  We drive to Cleland Wildlife Centre Carpark where we take the Grade 3 (moderate) Steub Trail (3.5km) to Mt Lofty Summit the admiring the tall gums and eucalyptus trees, spotting koalas and native flora along the way.    The walk will take around 60-90 minutes depending on group pace.

There are some gentle inclines as we find elevation and views at the Summit of Mt Lofty.

Once at the Summit, we will enjoy picnic hampers and hot drinks, witnessing the change in sky and landscape.

Just before departure an optional short nature inspired meditation will be offered.

Our customised minibus will return you to your car in Crafers by 8pm or the CBD by 8.30pm.

Your leaders are all certified Bushwalking Leaders holding first aid qualifications and carry group first aid kits.

We respectfully acknowledge that our gathering is on Kaurna Land traditionally owned by the Kaurna People.
