MTASA Summer Conference Day - 23rd January 2025
Join us for an inspiring day of professional learning at the MTASA Summer Conference, "Unveiling the Romantic Soul" featuring keynote presentations, performance and masterclass by Dr. Dylan Henderson (winner of the 2020 Chopin Study Competition for Young Researchers presented by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warsaw, Naomi Cumming Prize for Postgraduate Research, and the 2023 University Doctoral Research Medal for outstanding research at the PhD level from the University of Adelaide).
Dylan is an accomplished pianist and early-career researcher. His scholarly publications include 'A "Narrow-Keyed" Pleyel: The Ergonomics of Chopin's Interface' in The Chopin Review, and ‘“Espaces Imaginaires”: Chopin’s Damper Pedal and the Haze of Dreams’, selected for publication in the forthcoming Chopin Institute conference book Romanticism in Music: Poland in its European Context. Currently he is assisting Professor Anna Goldsworthy and Eleonora Sivan on their latest project, Heart to Heart—a companion book to the celebrated memoir Piano Lessons.
Other featured presenters will include: Wendy Heiligenberg, Bradley Eustace, Emmy Zhou, Melody Men and a special presentation by Simone Licari (Senior Funding Consultant – Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing) on the introduction of the Sports Voucher Program.
