Event description
Afternoon of Art & Storytelling for Our Environment: Film Premiere!
🎬Premiere Screening – Voices from the Valley
A moving new documentary by 19-year-old local filmmaker Jess Nipperess. This short film tells the story of Wollar – a community that has spent over two decades resisting the impacts of coal mining on the Drip, Munghorn Gap and village of Wollar. As the threat of further expansion looms, seventy activists from diverse backgrounds come together in solidarity to support Wollar’s vision for a climate-safe future. Through powerful storytelling and grounded local voices, Voices from the Valley captures resistance, resilience, and the hope of a just transition.
